Regional Office of NBTC 1 (PorPor.1) 
The duty and responsibility in performing works related to governance and control on the operation of District Office of NBTC (District 1 Bangkok Metropolis, District 5 Chanthaburi, District 15 Suphan Buri, District 16 Prachin Buri) under its responsibility, license issuance, law enforcement, and inspection, detection and arrest on the offender against laws related to broadcasting, telecommunications and radio communications as entrusted, as well as right promotion and receiving of complaint matters of the people, consumers and relevant agencies in central region area; and performing other entrusted works.

Regional Office of NBTC 2 (PorPor.2)
The duty and responsibility in performing works related to governance and control on the operation of District Office of NBTC (District 2 Ubon Ratchathani, District 6 Khon Kaen, District 7 Nakhon Ratchasima, District 8 Udon Thani) under responsibility, license issuance, law enforcement, and inspection, detection and arrest on the offender against laws related to broadcasting, telecommunications and radio communications as entrusted, as well as right promotion and receiving of complaint matters of the people, consumers and relevant agencies in north-eastern region area; and performing other entrusted works.

Regional Office of NBTC 3 (PorPor.3)
The duty and responsibility in performing works related to governance and control on the operation of District Office of NBTC (District 3 Lampang, District 9 Chiang Mai, District 10 Phitsanulok, District 17 Chiang Rai) under responsibility, license issuance, law enforcement, and inspection, detection and arrest on the offender against laws related to broadcasting, telecommunications and radio communications as entrusted, as well as right promotion and receiving of complaint matters of the people, consumers and relevant agencies in northern region area; and performing other entrusted works.

Regional Office of NBTC 4 (PorPor.4)
The duty and responsibility in performing works related to governance and control on the operation of District Office of NBTC (District 4 Songkhla, District 11 Phuket, District 12 Nakhon Si Thammarat, District 13 Ranong, District 14 Chumphon) under responsibility, license issuance, law enforcement, and inspection, detection and arrest on the offender against laws related to broadcasting, telecommunications and radio communications as entrusted, as well as right promotion and receiving of complaint matters of the people, consumers and relevant agencies in northern region area; and performing other entrusted works.




 
Power and Duties of the TC
  1. To license and regulate the use of frequencies and radiocommunications equipment in the telecommunications, or radiocommunications services; and prescribe licensing criteria and procedure, condition, or licensing fees.
  2. To license and regulate the telecommunications business to ensure that the users are provided with services with quality, efficiency, timeliness, reliability and fairness; and prescribe licensing criteria and procedures, conditions, or licensing fees.
  3. To license and regulate the use of telecommunications number; and set up licensing criteria and procedures, conditions, or licensing fees.
  4. To prescribe criteria and procedures for network access and interconnection, and criteria and procedures for setting access or interconnection charges for the telecommunications services, both for the same type of business and other types of business, to be fair to users, service providers and investors, or between the telecommunications service providers with regard to public interest.
  5. To set tariff structure and price structure for telecommunications service to be fair to users and service providers with regard to public interest.
  6. To set standards and technical specifications for telecommunications and radiocommunications service.
  7. To prescribe measure for the prevention of anti-competitive conduct or unfair competition in telecommunications service.
  8. To prescribe measure for the expansion of the provisions of universal and equal telecommunications service.
  9. To protect right and liberty of the people from being exploited by the operators; protect individual right of privacy and freedom to communicate by means of telecommunications; promote right, freedom and equality of the people in access to, and use of spectrum in the telecommunications service.
  10. To monitor and provide advice on the telecommunications services.

  2. To license and regulate the broadcasting business to ensure that the users are provided with services with quality, efficiency, timeliness, reliability and fairness; and prescribe licensing criteria and procedures, conditions, or licensing fees.
  3. To prescribe criteria and procedures for network access and interconnection, and criteria and procedures for setting access or interconnection charges for the radio and television broadcasting services, both for the same type of business and other types of business, to be fair to users, service providers and investors with regard to the public interest.
  4. To set tariff structure and price structure for broadcasting services to be fair to users and service providers with regard to public interest.
  5. To set standards and technical specifications for broadcasting services.
  6. To prescribe measure for the prevention of anti-competitive conduct or unfair competition in broadcasting services.
  7. To protect right and liberty of the general public from being taken advantages by operators; protect individual right of privacy and freedom to communicate; including promoting right, freedom and equality of the general public in access to, and use of spectrum in the broadcasting services.
  8. To monitor and provide advice on the broadcasting services.
  9. To promote a formation of licensees, broadcasters, and mass media professionals in the broadcasting businesses into diverse forms of organizations which will have the mandate to set forth ethical standards and self-regulation pertaining to the occupation or profession under the ethical standards.
