Vision
          The idea that will be presented is an idea that reflects the duties and responsibilities of the NTC, the agency overseeing telecommunications under the Act on the Organization to Assign Radio Frequency and to Regulate the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Services B.E.2553 (2010), and Section 51 of the Act states that the management of telecommunications service must cover all aspects. This plan must contain the following key points:
  • The objective of the plan and important topics of the service which shall be informed to relevant parties and implemented for the benefits which are consistent with the National Economic and Social Development Plan
  • For managerial cooperation to achieve success in the country’s economy, politics, and national security
  • To present a concept that will build a foundation for telecommunications, information technology, and computer business development which will become the country’s main economic engine
  • Another important point is the goal of telecommunications service management
  • To increase the number of telecommunications services that keep pace with technological development, especially focusing on expanding access nationwide in a short period and delivering greater convenience to the users
  • Consumer protection to ensure high-quality services that meet international standards as well as connection under the same system across the country
  • Create a fair and appropriate pricing structure for service users and service providers as well as telecommunications network connectivity rate between users
  • Create a radio frequency management plan that follows international standards for maximum public benefit
  • Create standard setting and communication quality plans that meet international standards, establish long-term number for the country, and support human development in information technology and computer science to ensure the quantity and quality of talents in the fields
  • To promote research and development in telecommunication technology, telecommunications business, and other related businesses
  • To promote efficient resource use for telecommunications service development and avoid redundant and unnecessary investment
  • Increase freedom in telecommunications business and promote fair competition
  • Revise and develop telecommunications and information technology laws to allow service providers to operate efficiently
  • Increase the ability to develop telecommunications business in Thailand through the NTC’s procedures, decision making, consideration, and oversight
