Today (24 August 2015) “NBTC” Teams Up With Telecommunication Regulator of “Cambodia” to Establish Cooperation and Sharing of Information in Strengthening the ASEAN Community

Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (Office of the NBTC) established a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC) to promote cooperation and sharing of information in relation to telecommunications and spectrum management with the aim to strengthen the ASEAN Community.

Air Chief Marshal Thares Punsri, NBTC Chairman, stated that the Office of the NBTC has developed a policy to establish cooperation in terms of telecommunications business and spectrum management with the aim to promote and strengthen the ASEAN Community, including forming a network among the regulators within the ASEAN Region to drive cooperation and bring closer ties among the leaders of each organization.

After having visited and consulted with Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC) on February 19-20, 2015 in Panom Pehn, Cambodia, both the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (Office of the NBTC) and Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC) agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding established between the two parties. Such collaboration and mutual sharing of information has led to concrete and effective results which are beneficial to the ASEAN Community. At the same time, it helps to promote closer ties among neighboring countries with connected borders, including mutual sharing of telecommunications and spectrum management information as well as exchanging of human resources, skills and expertise.
